To do this we offer a variety of tailor-made options. We work with you to source wedding suppliers and venue décor as well being on hand on the day to set-up and style your venue. This is a popular with our couples, as often they don’t have the time to hang the bunting and pom-poms or set out the vintage china! We are able to source the unique items you wish to decorate your venue with and then style them for you on the day, allowing you and your guests to arrive at a fully decorated venue.
Complimenting this we also offer wedding day co-ordination service. This gives you peace of mind throughout the whole day. We will be on hand all day to ensure your wedding day goes to plan and is on time. We will be involved in managing deliveries of your wedding suppliers, setting up and decorating your wedding venue, managing your guests and also members of your wedding party. Discreet in our service, we want you to enjoy and concentrate on your wedding day. Relax and enjoy yourselves, let us do the hard work.
We caught up with Emma to find out a little bit more about their business for Married in Sheffield readers.
Why did you start your business?
Back in 2009 we started to plan our own wedding. We found very few companies that offered a bespoke service to help couples find their unique wedding venue, source suppliers and design and style their venue. With our backgrounds in event organisation we thought why not use our experiences to help other couples make their wedding celebration a unique.
What’s the best thing about doing the job you do?
Definitely working with a variety of different couples who each see their wedding day differently, no two weddings are the same. Wedding planning is a hard slog but it worth it when you see the end result of a couple happily wed and in awe of how stunning their big day looks. All our couples are so appreciative of how much we can transform a venue or co-ordinate their wedding day, its amazing to be a part of a couples special journey together.
What makes your business unique?
Being married ourselves we know what our couples are experiencing and can relate to their big day. We find that lots of wedding planners are women, but Vinny offers a male perspective to the day and can relate to the groom - it gives a completely different perspective on the day as well as involving the groom as much as the bride.
How many years in business?
Going on 4 now....
What do you think the future of the wedding industry holds for your business?
I think more couples are starting to realise the benefits of hiring a wedding planners, especially if your wedding involves a lot of (excuse the pun) planning! Outdoor marquee and tipi weddings are particularly popular with us. They require lots of preparation and set-up, this can fall to friends and family who want to be a part of your special day - not spend hours before setting up your wedding reception, waiting for suppliers, helping to layout of tables and chairs - the list is often endless! If couples are considering hiring a wedding planner, we are happy to meet and chat about what we can do before they commit to booking us.
What do you enjoy when you’re not doing weddings?
With a small toddler in the mix, our lives outside weddings consist of visits to parks, farms and chasing him around. Vincent likes anything active usually running and cycling! Where as Emma prefers a quiet half hour with a good book and cup of tea!
What do you predict the next wedding trend will be?
Vintage and English Country Garden will continue to be big with a twist of the DIY wedding. It could be either making your own bunting or your own chutney and jam favours - couples want to personalise their day and make it unique - a DIY wedding does just this.
If you were getting married, what would be the one product of your own that you would choose?
Wedding day co-ordination by far. This makes sure all your suppliers are set up correctly, your venue is decorated and styled and your day runs to time. We co-ordinate your wedding guests, sort out the music, make sure speeches run to time, liaise with the caterers - working behind the scenes it means your day runs smoothly and is stress free.
What’s the number one piece of advice that you would give to couples planning their wedding?
Keep calm and get wed! Do not stress over the little things, it really isn't worth it - let us others help. You only get this day once and you don't want to be fussing over small things, take any mishap in your stride and remember why you are marrying each other - its a unique experience that will leave you with a life time of memories.
